Default show puppy

Its a little hard to pick a show puppy. They change so much. I would look at how the puppy gaits and his top-line. Check the bite, testicles and hair. If he is already breaking color done the back at 12 weeks, he probably will be too light in color. Make sure he doesnt have a soft black coat. Look at both parents closely. Stack them on the table and look at structure and topline. Stack the puppy on the table also. Ask a zillion questions and look at the pedigree. Are the parents being shown? I like to look at previous litters if posible. At a puppy age, you will only get a show prospect and not a guarantee that the puppy will be show quality as it gets older. Hope this helps. Lynn
