When you enter a dog in a show, you are paying for an opinion of your dog/breeding. If there is one dog in a class and the judge gives you second place, it is not something to brag about..it means the dog does not conform well enough to the standard to be placed first...it is not a GOOD thing!!!!!

Rarely, does a judge dismiss a dog unless it bites..the judge as a rule is polite and will give the dog a second place if no other dogs are in the class.
