As I looked yesterday at AKC's site, no DQ currently exists.
At any rate, none currently exists under either standard, so an off-color dog cannot be disqualified. No AKC judge can DQ a dog until the standard takes effect on and after October 1. No dog may be DQ'd for color under the UKC standard.
I can only speak for the judge who contacted me, and
she correctly withheld the awards. Her name is Linda Reece.
