My Vet said that I can't have Kalina spayed until her canines come out (the long, pointy ones) and are replaced with the second canines. She will be 6 mos. on October 1 and still has her baby canines though she has lost lots of the other teeth. I have never heard this before, but he was adamant about it, so I'm passing it along just FYI.
