I agree with Fran. I don't think it's fair to discriminate against a breed. I think it’s not so much a case of a bad breed as it is a case of BAD OWNERS/TRAINERS. Sick people TAUGHT these dogs to be vicious. If we agree to this, (in my opinion), it would be like agreeing with Hitler to eradicate an entire race of humans because of our opinion of them. Or it would be like saying that that all Arabs and people of that culture should be killed because of the 9/11 attack.
I live in NY and I’ve seen a lot of racial tension in my short life span (especially after 9/11 because it dramatically escalated). A few weeks after 9/11 happened, one of my close friends was gang raped and beat at her college and while she was being attacked, the bastards were making racial comments and calling her an Arab bit*h and other awful, disgusting things. They said they were paying her and “her kind” back for the attack on the World Trade Center. By the way, my friend is not even Arab … she’s Indian and Italian. She is just dark skinned and happens to look a bit Arab. But that’s not the point. The point I am trying to make it that she was attacked and brutalized because of what OTHER people did, and that’s just plain wrong. I feel the same applies to animals. We shouldn’t generalize and think an entire breed is vicious when only some portray this behavior. But again, this is only my opinion. I hope I did not come off as rude or pushy. I apologize in advance if I did.
