Doesn't sit right with me neither. But here might be a reason. My friend who has a 4 week old puppy, had to start feeding him herself, because mom didn't seem interested anymore. She was feeding him puppy chow mixed with milk and then puree'd in a blender. She brought the puppy to her vet just to make sure all was good and that he remained healthy. She was told to cut out the milk bcause it was too much fat for him.
Just a thought!
