She's very cute! I wouldn't think it would hurt to put topknots in now but you could use a little emu or almond ail and I think it would protect it a little more as I have heard some people say they had a lot of breakage in that area. I don't leave them in Zoe for extended periods of time just for that reason, I also use the terry cloth scrunchies and they don't damage her hair at all. As for what kind of hair she has, I have a hard time with that so won't be much help but when she's a little older when you take a photo if her eye flash is green then she should be silky and if her eyeflash is amber/orange, she should be cottony. Not sure if it works every time but sounds like most time that holds true. You can do a search and find a ton of threads on here about it but the pups have to be a certain age, I think.
