Tatum was spayed a few months ago and knowing that boys and girls have different incision spots, I just wonder if they could have used the kind of stitches Tatum had on your Archie. Tatum had wire stitches. It was pretty strange but instead of being soft, they were real fine wires cut pretty short. I think that is a really great idea - it kept Tatum from licking on the incision. The first time she encountered the wire with her tongue, I think she decided she would just leave it alone. Has anyone else's vet used these kind of stitches?
Anyway, so I can't give any advice on the e-collar since she didn't have to wear one but good luck. Hope it goes well.
