My dogs do the same thing - but ALWAYS when my parents come over! My babies also dig and hide stuff in the couch (greenies, bones, baby carrots, apple slices, etc.) and when my parents sit on my couch and open the recliner, they find food! It's so embarassing! I am always checking the sides of the couch for food and toys!
