I have done x-rays and I haven't done them. If it is a first time whelper, then X-rays can be very beneficial. However, I also believe that they lead to some unnecessary c-sections. I've seen some x-rays where it looked like the puppy was darn near filling the entire body of the female. She whelped it with no complications. You just never know until she tries. I guess I always know that it's a possiblity that they can have a c-section so I watch for the warning signs when she is in labor.
