Hmmm, this is a new laptop and I have never used one before so that's very possible. This is just the way it came. I've only had it a couple weeks - fried my ols puter last month during a power outage (fried my house phone and answer machine, too). This one has Vista, which I can't get used to. I guess being old means being stubborn and not wanting to change my ways
