If the vet feels she is not totally out of the anesthesia by pick up time, they may want to keep her overnight. The cost doesn't seem too bad, considering the visit, boarding, and the actual spay. Boobah may be a little grogy that day and the following day, maybe some pain (ask for pain killers), but should be back to normal within a week.
