Boobah goes to the vet on October 5th, the office attendant told me to bring her in at 9am and the operation would be at 11am

Poor thing, she is barely 7 months old and is scheduled to be spayed. I forgot to ask the girl if she was to be picked up that day or I was to pick her up the following day. Anyway the girl said the "cost" would be $170.00. Does this seem high to anybody? Please give me some feedback.
I was referred to this vet by the breeder who I bought her from.
What should I expect when boobah gets home? I mean, will she still be rambunctious after she gets better, or is she going to slow down a bit?

Any help with these questions would be helpful.
