Patrick says this is just a W.A.G. since he can't see your setup ... do you have an ethernet cable hooked from your desktop computer to your router? If so, you should be able to get online with your desktop and online wireless with your laptop. I hope I "relayed" that properly and that you get your glitch fixed. Good luck!
