City owns the trees on the tree front lawns. We had a gorgeous tree in front of our house - long story short - some big old bees nest was built in it - I thought the city was just going to come and get the bees nest out - well go to work with tree in front - come home from work with NO tree in front.
I literally cried pulling in my driveway - at first I couldn't think was "different" and then I almost died when I just saw an ugly stump.
And to make matters worse - that was two years ago and they still haven't replaceed it after numerous calls to our councilman and the division of forestry. I can't even put my own tree that we would pay for in front. They say no money in the budget now for trees but I am on a waiting list that's a mile long.
