Well from my knowledge of beagles they are usually prety thin unless they are totally lazy.. Mine is thin and we have a hrd time keeping his weight normal because he loves to run.. From what it sounds like she may have just gotten loose.. If you have a back door leave it open and take her around the neighborhood and ask people if they know anyone with a beagle and if they do make sure the person who says that the dog is his/hers has some way of proving it. If you can't just call one of the neighbors and ask them if they could help out a little bit.
