Fish oil or flax seed oil are good sources for omega 3 essential fatty acids...A white fish like cod might be good to give once a week. Also, I would supplement Vitamin E along with the fish oil...Many experts suggest that Vit E supplementation along with fish oil is important because they feel the omega-3 are better absorbed that way.
Miko's coat has improved significantly since I started supplementing with Vit E, fish oil, and vitamin b-complex.
