Her c-section was last September. I don't know why the vet chose staples, we didn't even discuss it. We had a c-section because Tiah went WAY overdue and the pups moved BACK OUT of the birth canal and were all over the place again. You could see Tiah's staples plain as can be....about 10 of them. Oh, she healed SOOOOOO nicely! You can't even tell. She had 4 pups and all survived. ......and......she had a litter naturally last month (3 boys and a girl). She had no complications whatsoever. I skipped a heat as they recommend after a c-section and she is healthy as can be. I'll attach a picture of her belly about a week before she actually had the babies and the c-section....
She never did get sick or have any complications. I hope all goes as well for your beautiful girl. I did rub her belly every day (about twice) to keep it clean (just warm water on a wash cloth). That's Tiah and Grammy in the second picture.
