Gator That Killed Yorkie Captured, Killed
The alligator that killed a Yorkshire terrier at a lake in Volusia County was captured and killed Wednesday morning.
Investigators in Daytona Beach said an alligator attacked the yorkie at a lake in the Grand Champion subdivision. Police said the dog's owner was taking pictures of a golf course, when the dog went to take a drink the lake and was pulled under.
The owner went into the lake to try to save the dog but it was too late.
Officials said our current drought is forcing gators out of their current locations on a hunt for water. |
