Yes Jeannie that was the point I tried to make. I dont understand how it is bettering the breed to breed for your next show dog and spaying or neurtering all of the rest of the dogs in the litter that are up to standard and some would even be considered show quality too. If the dogs are unable to breed, how do you better the breed with them?????
I know it is about protecting the lines and not letting them get in the hands of unethical breeders and I understand that.
