the flea meds work by killing fleas once they get on your dog - usually within a few hours. If all of your pets are not treated, one of them could have fleas and a flea might have gotten on her. Or if your dog was exposed to an environment that had fleas, such as going outside, she might have picked up a flea and the flea meds just haven't killed it yet. Unfortunately there are not any products that repel fleas from your dog...so fleas can still get on and bite before the flea meds kill them. The good thing about the flea meds though is it kills the flea before it can lay eggs so that they aren't able to reproduce.
