No Don't take him from mom. She will be tramatized. She is doing fine, but it really is important to get him to nurse. The colstrum is extremely important for a new baby. If you dont have nutrical or karo syrup, try anything sweet to place on his tongue then he will start sucking.. Have you checked for cleft palet?
