I think Layla may have some sort of stomach bug. She has gotten this way a couple times before and I have paid a lot of money for medicine from the vet, even though they have told me I could just feed boiled chicken and rice to settle her stomach until it goes away on its own. This time, I don't quite have the money for a vet visit, so I'm going to try it at home. Her stools have been very soft the past couple of days, and this morning there was just a soft little puddle of poop on her pad. I couldn't miss work today so I just left two pads out for her, in case she goes on one and won't step back on it.
I am only going to be home for about half an hour after work today because of some plans I can't back out of. I won't have time to boil chicken, but could I just give her some plain instant rice? And if she has never had it before, is there a chance it could upset her stomach more?
