It is just like Xenical (sp) that can be prescribed, but Alli is over the counter and cheaper (as insurance don't cover diet pills).

Xenical will block fat (good and bad fat) and that means, it comes out. The side effects were nasty for it.....the fat comes out an orange color and it will stain (and even stain through clothes)...it can come out if you pass gas or just seep out. You always feel the urge to go (like you have the runs all the time)...and you better be able to get to a bathroom, and fast.

The key for this NOT to happen is to NOT eat fatty foods...course, if you didn't eat the fatty foods, you wouldn't need to be on them because your diet would be okay. Yeah......it is hard not to eat fatty foods because most foods have fat (good or bad) in them and these pills block it all. It doesn't know good fat from bad fat...it just blocks it.

I personally would say no way to that pill......but I think everyone I have talked to that as already tried it or has used Xenical, the side effects were the same for them all!
