We take Mojo (and this year with Lily having her first Halloween with us) with us and they get treats from our friends and family......once, Mojo got a treat from an older lady....it was a rawhide stick, we accepted it and moved on....course, he didn't get it, but we didn't say anything about him not being able to have it either. It was nice though. I wish more people would do that, okay, not rawhides, but pass out little treats!

Shoot, you can even buy a bag of healthy treats and bag a few up or just pass out one per dog or something. That would make it go far? OR get some free samples of good dog food and pass those out. Or what are those...Pupcorn treats...they come in a big cannister...so one per dog would work well for that!

Yay....what fun!

We once took Mojo to a little tourist shopping town near us......course it is very dog friendly. He was little bitty....I think he was 6months. We had an older man come up and give him a treat....it was a piece of a beef jerkey stick. He said he carries them around just for the dogs. I didn't appreciate him just giving it to Mojo, but I appreciated his thoughtfulness. Course, Mojo was sick at his tummy that night (thankfully, we had made it home before the runny poo started - sorry)...and I think that was caused by the jerky!
yeah, this is exactly why i would never give it directly to the dog. you just never know. i wouldn't want people putting candy directly in my daughters mouth...why should doing it to a dog be different???
