LOL...when I was married to my first husband, his brother and SIL spent quite awhile living in Australia, and that was a fairly common name there. I'd never heard it and I when they named their absolutely beautiful little girl Bronwyn, I was HORRIFIED . I didn't like it at first, but it really grew on me and now I love the name. They always called her Bronnie (as in , Brawny) and I wasn't too crazy about that nickname.

I like the name Avery too; very different and kind of sophisticated I think. I LOVE different names. Now. My first name is Seana and when I was young I HATED it b/c NOBODY and I mean NOBODY knew how it was pronounced (other than people who knew me). So every time the school year started, I had a new teacher who would always call out "SEE ANNA" or "SEE AWWNNA"...and everyone would start giggling. You know how it is when you're a kid. It's scarred me for life , LOL. Now, everyone knows who Sean Connery is, and there's a few of us Seanas around, so it's not quite so bad. Plus, I'm not quite as sensitive as I used to be about people mispronouncing my name...now I answer to almost anything that starts with an "s", LOL.
