What everyday dangers have you encountered with your Yorkie that caused you to stop and say, hmm, I've got to avoid that at all costs?
Here's mine, and it happened yesterday.
Elevators. Three of us hopped on an elevator with both dogs on leash. The dogs were a little jumpy in the strange surroundings. My wife was holding Eddie's leash. I had Jack's. Someone hit the up button and Eddie panicked at the same time and was heading for the open door. For a split second, I was mortified. I could picture him leaping out the door just as it closed on the leash. Who knows what would have happened. In a state of panic, could I have found the STOP button before it went up? Would the door have automatically opened because a small leash was caught? Or would the leash have become trapped on our side while Eddie was trapped on the other?
I may have been worrying for nothing, but from now on I'm picking up both dogs in elevators. Too scary. | makes me grinch just thinking about it !!!!
