A debit card is a lot more responsibility than a re-chargable card. If there is an overdraft on a re-chargable card, you dont have to deal with the additional bank fees, overdraft charges, etc... On a re-chargable, if you dont have the money thats it. Whereas with some debit cards you can still make a purchase, even if you've reached your limit.... hope this helps.
