I know you are upset, but it seems to me that you are too willing to let them keep Butter. relatives or not and the fact that you aren't close would make me DEMAND the dog back unless of course, she actually was your mother's dog because she is the one that bought her for you. I know that is nasty of her to take her away but if she is the one that paid and every thing, technically, she could do what she wanted. Unless I have missed something, everyone is talking about showing proof that she was yours and you haven't said you have that. Only that you want her back. Do you have proof or is everything in your mothers name?
