If you have proof that she is yours (contract signed when you bought her from a breeder, vet records, registration papers, Microchip) then that will show that she is legally yours. A verbal agreement doesn't hold up in court because there is no proof. So unless you signed a contract giving custody of the dog to them, then she is still legally yours. You can take them to court to get her back.
