Californication is really good!!
David Duchovney is hot! His character in this show has some serious flaws, but he's working on them on a path of self-discovery and running into some sticky issues along the way. The peripheral characters are interesting too and provide some comic relief, which is very necessary considering "darkness" of Hank Moody's personal issues.
Weeds comes on showtime back to back with Californication. Its a great show too, but I think if someone came into this season without seeing the previous two seasons, they might be scared off. I'd definitely take the time to rent the previous two to get acquainted with it before jumping in. This season has been a bit more intense, but I'm hoping some of that will settle down now that "U-Turn" is dead.
