I thought this article was very interesting in how this particular attorney had to make the tough decision on what home would be in the best interest of this dog. Just as tough when a judge has to decide what home the human child should live. Hmmm...not to make lite of this.....but sorry....my DH would lose on this one

...even though he loves Izzy to pieces and will take care of her in "my" absence....I'm the one who takes care of her 95% of the time - just as I did with my son. He's a great doggy dad - it's just that I do more with her...training, walking, feeding, bathing, car rides, playdates, etc. He's working more, traveling more, etc. I also bet in some homes it 's the opposite since there are some men out there who are at home because of a disability or something and mom has to work. That doesn't make one a better caretaker over the other - it's a tough decision no matter how you look at it and I'm glad I'm not the attorney or a judge to make that call.
