Ive done the same thing with boobah. Im not thinking at times, and she is right in between my feet. One time I stepped on her paw and she yelled to high heaven. She limped for about 10 seconds and I gave her a treat to aleve her pain and also gave her bunch of hugs. I am used to her now and now I can hear her, she has a little bell on her collar so I can hear her coming and going. I know its hard to take but just be aware of Lola, knowing that she could be where you least expect her! At your feet!
