I would deffinately get a female,mainly becuase boys hike their legs and sometimes neutering doesnt fix this..which means most males are harder to potty train.
A woman on another board had to find a new home for her 1 year old male a few weeks back because he was peeing all over the place,he was fixed at 6 months old and this didnt help.His new owner is now facing the same problem.I dont think I have the patients to deal with males..lol.
I have 2 females and they are both lap dogs,my oldest female is more dependant on us but they are both very affectionate.I had also heard that females arent as affectionate as males,but to me hygene was more of an issue than anything else and the rumour about females wasnt really true anyway.
