I have a boy and a girl. My boy is my constant companion and cuddler. My girl is more independent. They were equally hard to potty train, and I had my boy neutered at 6 months and he has never lifted his leg (he is now 1 year old). I really don't think boy or girl makes a difference, I think it is more personality, so, I would go with the breeder that you feel is better and the dog that you like the best, regardless of the sex.
