I was also against neutering Max, but he began marking and I had to or my house would have become disgusting from the smell, I couldn't take him anywhere or he'd mark, etc., etc. I was advised by a lot of YT members, my vet, etc. that it is healthier in the long run because it prevents problems like certain cancers down the road.

I've had other male dogs - neutering never even occurred to us. Things were very different in the 60's and 70's. (I had cats in the 80's and 90's and they must be neutered). They were also large males and didn't mark in the house. These little guys seem to mark more inside.

At any rate, I had no choice nor any regrets. Maybe you can do your own research with nobody's input but science. I never did because I didn't have a chance.
