I personally like the Chris Christensen pin brush. It doesn't scratch and does a good job with Chloe's coat. My puppy (formerly Luci, but we've decided to call Lexi) isn't so keen on any brush just yet!
Some good advice I got from other YT members...test it on your skin. If it scratches you, it will scratch them and be uncomfortable. Also, I use Chris Christensen Ice-on-Ice detangler and I've been pleased when doing a brush out. Having said all that, I think the biggest help is brushing EVERY day, not leaving a harness on all the time (we just put it on to go potty and it comes off the minute we are back inside), and the conditioner that I use after the bath (Plush Puppy).
