Our house is over 100 years old and was always owned by the same family until we bought it last August. The house next door has always been in the same family too and they have given us some history on the house, so at least we have some sort of information to go on.
First of Mrs. Walker was getting unable to care for herself and her Daughter wanted to place her in a home because she was unable to care for her herself. Mrs. Walker loved the house so much she wanted to stay real bad. She got real sick and was put in the nursing home and died 2 months later. Her Daughter placed the house up for sale because she did not need it, She herself is in her late 60's and she has her own place with her Husband. The house was one the market for 1 year and 8 months before we got it. I fell in love with the woodwork and pocket doors. It is very charming.
We have had a bunch of strange things happen, like the window A/C turned on all by it's self last year in october. You have to press a button on the control panel for it to come on or press the remote, My kids were in bed and I was out on the couch so no one touched it. I had to get up and turn the sucker off 3 different times before I unpledged it. we also had the boy's game system put in the basement so that they could play wy we had on Tv shows, well one day they come running up the stars all scared and said they were playing and back in the very end of the basement is were the Dryer is and it went on all by itself,I went down and turned it off. 3 days later my husband was down by his work bench and the same thing happened to him.
I think hat it was Mrs. Walker, She did not want to leave her house at all. I was thinking of having the house blessed but nothing bad has happen and we just feel that Mrs. Walker is still looking after her much loved house. |
