HI Sharon, I wish I could help, but Sunshine never had a mucus plug come out. At least not one that I could see. She did have a mucusy discharge for a couple of days before she had the puppies, but it wasn't something that came out all at once. Hopefully someone with a lot more experience than me can tell you more. Good luck and keep us posted.
