sometimes it's not meant to be. We rescued my Bella when she was no more than 3 weeks old, totally eyes glued shut with upper resp. problems, weighed nothing. She was a stray, I think her mother threw her out, too sick. I didn't want another cat again, but here she is going on 2 and I love her. I'm sending prayers to you and your hubby for caring so much...
