I sent my brother a maltese puppy he purchased from a breeder here in Miami.He lives in NYC.My kids were going on vacation to NY so I sent the puppy with them.I used Delta and they also charged an extra $50. The only thing is that there are only 2 pets allowed on the plane.So you have to book in advance and let them know that you are traveling with the puppy.I made the mistake of letting them know at the airport and luckily there was only one other pet.So I got lucky.Another airline(not sure which one it was)Charged my sister the axact airfare for her dog.She ended up paying $180 round trip .Now that was a ripoff.
