Just an update since I started a thread. The competition has been scrapped on Sept 15th
, after coming under heavy fire from animal rights groups such as the SPCA, ROAR, PETPOSTITIVE, MARPO and CALM. Malaysia might not be rabies free but it is not rampant with it-there is a better way to do this than having a competition and treating it like a fun sports thing. Catching the dog alive doesn't mean the dog is caught in a good shape, a battered half dead dog can also mean alive. This type of competition is just pointless as it will mean more pet dogs will be stolen in exchange of the money the government offers and that was what exactly have happened over the past few days.
