My beautiful little Charlie passed away on Wednesday. He also had a collapsing trachea, which the vet thought was affected by the GME. He was not able to make it out of the anesthesia used to do the MRI and spinal tap. He could not breathe properly and he was unable to get enough oxygen, without being assisted. We had to make the awful decision to let him go, but I could not bear to watch him suffer. The vet said there was no hope of his breathing getting better. I am just absolutely devastated and overcome with grief. The house is not the same. I have three pugs as well, but they also know that something is wrong. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. I hope my Charlie is in a better place now and knows how very much he was loved.
