However, Schatzie still had not ever had her top 1/3 ear hairs clipped and I was thinking the hair was weighing down her ears to make them floppy. My groomer just laughed at me and said, "Oh if her ears haven't perked up yet, then they never will". Well, I hung onto what she said for about 3 weeks or so. Then finally I went back into her and asked "please just cut her ear hairs to humor me, I really think her hair is just weighing them down". So, the groomer cut her hair on top of her ears and they INSTANTLY went up.

So, if your little one still has the hair on her ears this might be a consideration. It really doesn't take much hair either to weigh the ears down.

Good luck!
I was likeing that beakers ears were floppy ..... but also didnt mind if they went up..... when i first got him his ears where tottaly floped down..... as time went by it looked as if the the bottom of his ears where up but the tips where floped over... when he went to be groomed for the first time i never told her to trim his ears or anything i just told her to clean him up and do what she thought would look nice.... when i got went and picked him up his ears where straight as a arrow..... so nice too.... and have been sence... all she did was shave the very tips of the ears... very neat how that works...
