Thank you so much for all of your advice! I am definately planning on a trip to the vet on Monday. I was debating taking him to the ER vet, however it doesn't seem to be bothering him, and now that the bleeding has stopped he's not licking at it. It could very well be that the nail has seperated, as the blood was coming right from the top of the nail where it meets the skin. He's due for a nail trim, so maybe I let it go too long, and he got it caught on something while playing? Poor baby. I'm going to keep it clean and keep a very close eye on him until Monday. Thanks again!!
