I would think that if they are being trained and unable to watch them, then I belly band is great. I made mine for Charlie with double sided flannel, 4" wide and circumferance of their tummy, wide velcro on each end and incontience pad inside. Works wonderfully. Of course, he is older and the only times he wears it is when I am at work.

They are not supposed to be worn 24/7 and great for visiting. The belly band keeps them from marking and you can relax. Always remember when it is taken off, to either use a wash cloth or wipe to insure urine is not left on their skin. Good luck.
