See, never know when an old thread will save the day. My husband and kids took the animals (2 dogs, 2 cats) to the vet this morning for shots. Even though I told all three of them to remember to get Tatum's nails cut, they all forgot. Tatum used to let me do it when she was really small but in the past year or so, she has absolutely refused to lay down for it. Well, I thought I'd try again. She actually did awesome with the help of one of the kids talking to her but then on the last foot, I got one a little short and it wouldn't stop bleeding. We don't have any syptic powder but I checked here real quick and did a quick search to find that flour was the home remedy. Worked like a charm! Tatum's feeling are a little sore right now but I think she'll forgive me one day.
