 Maya's biopsy results are in
The vet just called. Maya has severe inflammatory liver disease and chirrosis of her liver. The vet said the Cushing's medicine was making it worse and she cannot be on it. I stopped it 11 days ago since I suspected it was making her sicker than the Cushings. Maya has to go on prednisone (yuck!) fot 3 days and go to the vet for a recheck Monday and discuss some meds she needs to go on. I asked what her prognosis was and she said if we can reverse the inflammation the prognosis is good. If we can't or we do nothing she will die from liver failure. The other problem is the Cushings cannot be treated anymore and that will effet her heart and lungs as well as other problems. SO please keep her in your prayers. Thanks |
