Maybe you can try using Benedryl... I noticed this year is pretty bad for allergies... my Butch was sneezing and sneezing and sneezing (it hadn't rained here for the whole month of August... pretty dry outside). I had to take him three times during one week for Batril and Antihistimine shots.... but once the vet told me to start him on Benedry he got better. He is fine now.
Now me... if I don't have a headache.... my nose is stuffed up! (but enough about me!!)
Anyway... I think the Benedry (Children's brand) should help with itching also.
