Hello, any advice on how soon is too soon for a puppy to come home? I've found a breeder with a pup that will only grow to be 3-lbs, and the breeder will let me take the puppy home at 8 weeks. I know puppies are usually good to go at 10-12 weeks, and I've heard that when the puppy is especially small, breeders should keep the puppy for longer. The breeder assures me that although the puppy will be little, it does not have fragile bones like a teacup, and it is in fine health. All of three puppies in the litter will only grow to be 3-pounds, so this one does not seem to be the runt of the litter.

Any thoughts on whether or not this sounds unsafe for the puppy appreciated! Thanks.
